Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is a mixed bag – offering good facilities in the rooms with no extra charge, although lacking a mirror in some areas and extra balcony seating. The beach block rooms are dirty, small, and extremely noisy, while the shuttle service to the main building is efficient but inconvenient for longer stays.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms were fantastic with great views, a very comfortable bed, aircon, and an amazing shower, some were dirty, dark, grubby, and smelly. On the downside, there were not many toilets for the number of guests at the beach/pool area. The service varied, with some instances of being polite and very helpful, and others where I had to collect empty cups myself or follow a strict dress code. The location was a highlight, being spot on with good dining and shopping options nearby, but the cleanliness upkeep fell short with overflowing bins and cigarette butts. Dining was a hit and miss, with a big buffet and good variety on some nights, though it did not quite live up to a 5-star experience. Overall, there were highs and lows across different aspects of the stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. While the location was great, close to nice restaurants and shops, the rooms in the beach area were dark, grubby, and had a lack of electrical outputs. The staff was very polite and helpful, making the service enjoyable. Dining had good options but a bit confusing at times. Overall, the facilities were satisfactory.
Staying at the hotel was a wonderful experience overall. The rooms, especially with the private shared pool on the 4th floor, were just what I needed for a perfect beach getaway, furnished beautifully with a superb balcony. The location was fantastic, overlooking Agia Marina, and being close to the sea and Chania. The service was impeccable with affable and competent staff. Although the dining was delicious with a wide range of options, the all-inclusive lunch fell short. Despite its mixed bag of aspects, Galini Sea View is a great choice to enjoy Crete.
The hotel is in a great location near the beach of Agia Marina, offering great food, service, and cleanliness. The rooms are renovated and very clean, though there's a minor issue with electrical outlets and a sewer smell. The service is excellent, with staff going above and beyond for guests. The dining experience is lovely with a wide breakfast selection, and the facilities are well-maintained.
